The Bridge to Holiness – Sacred Secrets about the Path to Holiness

Every human being is a creation of God. We exist because God, the Holy One, willed to create us. He desired us to be His children. He desired to share with us His providence, His wisdom, His love and His holiness.

Each of us is called to be holy just as God alone is holy, but “holiness is not something we do or attain: it is the communication of the Divine life, the in-breathing of the Divine nature, the power of the Divine Presence resting on us. And our power to become holy is to be found in the call of God, The Holy One calls us to Himself, that He may make us holy…He not only says “I am holy” but “I am the Lord who make holy”. It is because the call to Holiness comes from the God of infinite Power and Love that we may have the confidence: we can be holy.” From the Book, “Holy in Christ” by Andrew Murray

Let us reflect on God’s infinite holiness, on His infinite perfection.

In heaven, the angels bow their heads in continuous adoration singing of His holiness.

The Prophet Isaiah had a vision of God that he described like this:

“I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3

If the angels of God, pure spirits, veil their faces in humility and in perpetual adoration, how much more should we sinners in need of God’s forgiveness and purification bow down before God acknowledging our nothingness before His greatness!

If we want to embark on a path of holiness we must begin by praying for the grace to repent of our sins and to become reverent before God. Let us pray for God’s grace to communicate to us His awesomeness, so that we His creatures can bow down before Him in humble adoration, with sorrow for our sins, with fear and with awe before the God who gave us life and has the power to forgive us and to punish us.

“For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” Isaiah 57:16

The Lord God who has always been, wills to dwell in the hearts of the contrite.

“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17

So if we want to be on a path to holiness, we must first begin by REPENTING. The Lord, The Holy One, the source of all holiness promises to dwell in the heart of the sinner who repents.

I invite you to consider this picture. I will tell you of two ‘islands’, one is a place of ‘unholiness’ and the other a place of ‘holiness’.

In the place of unholiness, God is not worshiped. In the place of unholiness, man exists to serve ‘self’. It is a place of sin where ‘EGO’ is worshiped and impurity and violence are the norm. The unholy trinity ‘me, myself and I’ is focused on pleasure and satisfaction of self and in this unholy place arrogance and ignorance hold hands.

In the place of holiness, God is worshiped. In the place of holiness, man exists to serve God and to do His will. In this holy place, purity and inner-peace are the gifts God gives His people. In the place of holiness, people pursue God’s purpose and derive joy pleasing God. It is a place where the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is worshiped and glorified. Man exists to please God and in this place God and man hold hands in God’s Spirit of humility, reverence and wisdom.

To be ‘holy’ means to be ‘separate unto God’. If we are to be a holy people we must truly appreciate that we belong to God. “We shall realize that to be the Lord’s property, a people of His own, is infinitely more than merely to be accounted or acknowledged as His, that it means nothing less than that God, in the power of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, fills our being, our affections, and our will with His own life and holiness. He separates us for Himself, and sanctifies us to be His dwelling. He comes Himself to take personal possession by the indwelling of Christ in the heart. And we are then truly separate, and kept separate, by the presence of God within us.” From the Book, “Holy in Christ” by Andrew Murray

Repentance and separation are key to holiness. God will never force Himself upon us, but if we come to Him with hearts truly sorry for our sins, God will forgive us.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Forgiveness and purification are not the same things. By forgiving us we return to God and reestablish our relationship with Him. By purifying us, God separates us from all the things that do not give Him glory. It requires careful thought to determine what things, experiences, interactions fail to give God glory.

When my satellite television service broke down, it occurred to me that it may indeed be God’s way of telling me that some of the things I watch offend Him. It’s not easy to find television that truly gives God glory. I’m not suggesting you give up TV necessarily, but if you choose to watch something violent, make sure you pray for violent people. Do not watch pornography.

If someone were to have told me twenty years ago that I was supposed to become a ‘holy woman’ or a ‘saint’, I would have looked at them with puzzled eyes. Holiness and sainthood, I thought, was something for priests and extremely religious. I was just an ordinary woman.

I realize now that the reason many people do not become the holy people they are intended to be is because they don’t have spiritual guides to help them. They don’t understand that Our Lord Jesus desires to make each of us into people of great distinction and dignity, people of holiness, people with a character of humility, reverence, patience, gentleness and wisdom.

Between the island of ‘unholiness’ and the island of ‘holiness’ there exists a bridge that invites people to transition from unholy lives to holy lives.

THE BRIDGE TO HOLINESS IS JESUS CHRIST.

Remember the beginning of the spiritual journey and the path to holiness begins with REPENTANCE. God forgives the contrite and purifies His people of all unrighteousness providing we choose to be OBEDIENT.

There is no holiness until we choose to be obedient to God’s commandments. Obedience begins with SURRENDER AND TRUST IN JESUS.

Recall the words of the humble woman chosen to be the Mother of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. Upon learning from the Angel Gabriel that she was chosen to be the Sacred Vessel of God Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38

Let’s consider the following questions:

Are we ready to truly TRUST Jesus? Are we ready to SURRENDER our lives to Him? Are we ready to CONSENT to His Holy Will in all things? Are we willing to live in a perpetual awareness that we are living in the Holy Presence of God, adoring God with a Spirit of Humility and Reverence?

The Chalice that is consecrated to God in the Mass, is dedicated to God. It is not used for casual encounters. The priest doesn’t take out the Sacred Chalice to have a beer in his backyard.

People the path to holiness is a serious path that requires that we understand that God is a God of Mercy and He is also a God of Justice.

It’s time for the world to FEAR GOD.

Recall the words of Moses.

Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.” Exodus 20:20

Reverence is a holy respect and fear of God. It is a great spiritual awareness of God’s greatness and our nothingness. We must acknowledge our infinite dependence on God and pray for His grace to become obedient.

HERE’S A SACRED SECRET ABOUT HOW TO BECOME OBEDIENT… be patient and read slowly and carefully…

Let’s take a walk together. I want you to walk with me now, precious soul, to the place of holiness. We will take the Sacred Bridge to Holiness and on this bridge you will witness something that you will never forget! You will understand that you are so VERY, VERY PRECIOUS TO GOD. You will understand how very, very much God loves you!

People in a state of unholiness have souls that are like ‘diamonds in the rough’. The unholy soul has exceptional potential but it lacks spiritual understanding, wisdom and formation. The unholy heart needs to be transformed like the diamond in the rough that is cut and made brilliant by a master jeweller to reflect the light.

Precious soul, your Master is Jesus Christ!

God promised long before Jesus was born that He would give His people a new heart and a new spirit.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

Jesus died so that this sacred promise could be fulfilled.

As we are Baptized into Christ, God puts His Holy Seal upon us. He takes possession of our souls as He forgives and purifies us and fills us with the Holy Spirit. And so long as we strive to be obedient to God, and keep repenting of our sins and praying for God’s Holy Spirit to remain with us, we will remain on the path of holiness, holding the hand of Our Saviour who wills to perfect us and use us in His plan of salvation.

Now I invite you to bow your head and pray for God’s Holy Spirit to enter your heart as you read the following.

We are blessed to have had people on earth with mystical gifts who have through visions seen the Passion of Christ. Anne Catherine Emmerich is one of those special people who witnessed mystically the Passion of Our Holy Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are rushed right now, attempt not to read this mystical account.  Come back when you have time to be quiet and see how much Jesus Christ, the Bridge to Holiness and the Holy One of God who wishes to dwell in your heart suffered to enable you to become a person of great honour, a holy person, consecrated to God, living exclusively for His glory.

The following is from the mystical account of Anne Catherine Emmerich, in the Book “The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ” TAN Books

Jesus Hanging on the Cross between two thieves

“I cast my eyes upon Jesus—Jesus my Redeemer,–the Redeemer of the world. I beheld Him motionless, and almost lifeless. I felt as if I myself must expire; my heart was overwhelmed between grief, love and horror…I contemplated His disfigured countenance, His head encircled with that terrible crown of thorns, which prevented His raising it even for a moment without the most intense suffering, His mouth parched and half open from exhaustion, and His hair and beard clotted with blood. His chest was torn with stripes and wounds, and His elbows, wrists and shoulders so violently distended as to be almost dislocated; blood constantly trickled down from the gaping wounds in His hands, and the flesh was so torn from His ribs that you might almost count them. His legs and thighs, as also His arms, were stretched out almost to dislocation, the flesh and muscles so completely laid bare that every bone was visible, and His whole body covered with wounds…And yet, notwithstanding the state of ignominy to which He was reduced, there still remained that inexpressible look of dignity and goodness which had ever filled all beholders with awe.”

“These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,” and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.” John 19:36-37

Do you have the courage to look at Jesus Christ Crucified, the fount of all Holiness and the Bridge that takes you to Heaven?

It takes some courage to realize the price of our sins.

I invite you to join A Peaceful Revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ. This is a cause that gives great glory to God by uniting Christians of all denominations in a daily prayer for God’s peace and mercy, at the time Our Lord Jesus died for us, 3pm (in our local time zones) as we contemplate the Passion of Christ.

I speak to you from a place of deep humility and great reverence to God. I have been doing this, stopping at the time Jesus died for us, 3pm, every day to remember the Passion of Christ and to pray for all souls for many years.

There are too many souls living unholy lives, not realizing how much Our Redeemer Jesus Christ wants to forgive them, purify them and enable them to do His Holy Will. If you belong to God then PLEASE believe in the power of our united prayer. Also understand that to remain in a place of humility, reverence and awe we must never lose sight of the price of our sins.

We have had millions of responses from people all over the world that ‘like’ the idea of a Christian world united in prayer, in humble, reverent contemplation of the Passion of Christ DAILY at the time Jesus died for us 3pm (in our local time zones).  With your help more people will unite to pray for the world to be changed by the power of God’s love! And then, through the grace of God and our obedience to His Holy Will, we will silence the forces of evil and help Jesus to save many, many souls. And one day we will meet these souls that we have prayed for in heaven and they will love us with an everlasting love!

Remember Jesus’ Passion every day and you will discover THIS SACRED SECRET:

Contemplation of the Passion of Christ causes souls to fall in love with their Lord Jesus Christ and a soul in love becomes so deeply enamoured with God and so deeply possessed by God’s power and light, that temptation loses its grip on us as God’s holiness penetrates our hearts and our minds and our lives. And then you will hear God speaking these words to you over and over and over again:

“YOU ARE MINE!”

“You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16
