Investing in Our Global Future

Our world is in need of so many ‘breakthroughs’.  We live in a world with too much crime, too much hatred, too much violence, too much illness, too much injustice.  As we begin a New Year let us prove that we trust God to help us change our world for the better bringing hope and healing.   Remember the Words of Our Lord Jesus:   “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  Matthew 19:26

Let us turn to God in a bold prayer asking Him to send His Holy Spirit to bring much needed change, ending violence and wars and bringing physical and spiritual well-being.

Prayer is our conversation with God. It is at the heart of our personal relationship with Him. In prayer we speak to God and in prayer we listen to God’s voice speaking to our conscience.

In prayer we silence the world so that we can enter into the holy presence of God without any distractions: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

St. Padre Pio was known to say, “Prayer is the key that opens the heart of God.” In prayer we tell God we believe in Him, we trust in Him, we adore Him and we love Him, we need Him and we hope in Him!  We must pray not just for ourselves, or for those we know, but for the entire world.  Consider how many people never pray.  You can pray for them!

“Love to pray. Prayer enlarges the heart until it is capable of containing God’s gift of Himself.” St. Mother Teresa

Jesus teaches us how to pray: “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”  Mark 11:25 “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36

Jesus encourages us to believe in the power of His Holy Spirit living in us to help us to pray and to listen to His voice: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”  Romans 8: 26-27

Jesus gives us the perfect prayer “Our Father” where we turn to God as His children to acknowledge His greatness and to ask for His divine grace to do His will and to build His kingdom on earth as we repent of our sins, asking for God’s forgiveness and the grace to forgive one another.  In this prayer taught to us by the Lord Himself we come to God with trust asking Him to strengthen us daily so we can resist temptation and be protected from evil.   Let’s not just say the prayer “Our Father”, let’s strive to live this prayer by allowing Jesus to live in us and work through us as we strive to do His will and build a world that gives God glory.

If you have been following this page, you will know that I am advocating that all Christians unite in prayer daily at the time Our Holy Lord Jesus died for us, 3pm (in our local time zones) to remember the Passion of Christ and pray for His mercy upon all souls. We are calling this global prayer movement “A Peaceful Revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ” because no soul touched by the Passion of Christ remains the same. The love of Jesus revolutionizes the world and just as prayer is the key to opening the heart of God, the Passion of Christ is the key to opening our hearts to understanding how very, very much God loves us! “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

When you contemplate the Passion of Christ you will be praying in “listening mode”.  Years ago I was professionally trained in communications and I learned that the best communicators were the best listeners. So if you want to communicate well with God, then listen well to God and see your Saviour Jesus Christ suffering and dying on the Cross for you! When you do truly see Jesus suffering for you to create a place for you in Heaven your relationship will get very personal and very intimate!

A Peaceful Revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ is all about helping people to be transformed by the love of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. It’s about helping people to be saved. So many people have yet to come to know and love Jesus and to understand that He wants us to stop fighting and start forgiving. He wants people to drop their weapons and find ways to coexist peacefully. He wants us to believe in His power to make all things new.

Please don’t just read this message, commit to it! Disciples of Jesus, let’s unite at the foot of the Cross of Jesus, every day at the time Jesus died for us, 3pm (in our local time zones) as we remember the Passion of Christ and understand how much God loves us and then let’s tell God how much we love Him as we pray for His mercy upon all souls, especially those most in need of His mercy and forgiveness.

“We love because He first loved us.”  1 John 4:19

Jesus I want my life to be a continuous prayer to You.  I offer You my every word, every thought, every deed, every smile, every tear, everything I give to You, for Your glory. Please forgive me for all my sins.  Please help me Lord to see You everywhere, in all people and in all Your earthly creations.  I know God that for You all things are possible.  Send Your Holy Spirit to renew the face of the World.

Please allow me Holy Lord to live in constant communion with You.  Let me be one with You.  Help me and heal me so that I can be all that you want me to be.   I want to serve You and honour You and be Yours in each and every moment.  Every beat of my heart is Yours.  Jesus You are my heart’s desire and I love You so much Lord and I know that for YOU ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! !
