Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name!

Friends, how often do you reflect on the great privilege and honour of having God as Our Father.  He is not just Our Creator, God wills to embrace us as His children, children He will teach, children He will guide, children He will forgive, children He will comfort, children He will work through, children He will bless!

“And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.”  Isaiah 64:8

You are precious to God!

“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?” Matthew 6:26

“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”  Matthew 7:11

Jesus and God The Father are ONE God, united in the Holy Spirit of God

Jesus asked them: “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” John 14:10

^“Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’” John 14:6

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”  John 15:16

^“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’” Romans 8:15

Let us thank God for the gift of life and for the great privilege of faith.  May God bless us to give Him glory as we dedicate our lives to serving and loving Him and one another.

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.  Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.  So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.” Ephesians 1:3-8

 ^“And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”  2 Corinthians 6:18

 ^“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”  Galatians 3:26

Let us thank God for sending us His Only Begotten Son Jesus!

It is perhaps only in eternity that we will comprehend the greatness of God’s love who willed to give us His only begotten Son Jesus:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17

Let us pray,

Eternal Father, we praise You and we love You!  Help us to fulfill the plans You have for us.  Open our minds and our hearts to understand Your will and to remain ever close to You and to Your Son, Our Lord Jesus, united in Your Holy Spirit.

Give us Your Heart of compassion and mercy so that we can be kind and forgiving to all, especially to our own children and families.

Help us to remember the great sacrifice of Jesus, every day.  As the clock strikes 3pm, remind us that 3 o’clock is the Time Jesus died for us; it is the Hour of Mercy when the price of salvation was paid for us.  We are sinners unworthy of the greatness of Your love.  We repent of our sins and ask for Your mercy and forgiveness.  We come to You at this Hour to say thank You, thank You for giving us Jesus who was willing to die to open the gates of Paradise to us.  Thank You for allowing Jesus to pay the price for our sins and enable us to live a new life, a life devoted to honouring You through our words, our choices, our sacrifices, our mercy, our every moment lived in You and for You.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”  1 John 3:1

Holy God, we love You now and forever!  All glory and honour be Yours today and always!
