Holy and Merciful God,

We come to You today with penitent hearts. Please forgive us for our sins and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we can fulfill the plans You have for us, for we want to please You God and honour You.

All over the world, people are suffering. Crime, war, violence, injustice blankets the earth, but Your everlasting and infinite love fills us with hope, hope for new beginnings. We pray for Your divine intervention to end wars, stop violence, save souls, inspire conversion and create peace and joy where there is despair and darkness. We ask for Your mercy upon all souls, especially for those in most need of Your mercy, especially for the innocent children who are sick, who are afraid, who live in places of violence and war. Dry their tears and hold them close to Your heart that is so merciful, kind and compassionate.

Without You Almighty we cannot do anything truly worthwhile, but with You all things are possible. Send forth Your Spirit to renew the face of the earth! Send forth Your Spirit to silence the power of the evil one! Send forth Your Spirit to change our world, one soul-at-a-time! Change our hearts, change our minds, change our priorities so that we can be all that You want us to be.

We ask this prayer in the Name of Your Beloved Son Jesus, Our Lord, Our Saviour, who gave His life so that we could be His disciples, disciples of peace, hope and love.

We trust in You Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
