What does God Will

Seeking and doing God’s will is at the heart of what it means to love God.  If we love God, then we must seek to understand and live His Holy Will.  God’s Will is the path to heaven!

So let’s reflect on God’s will for us, His people.

God wants each of us to enter into an intimate relationship with Him.

This divine relationship must be founded on faith and trust.

BELIEVE

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

TRUST

” Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6

We are all sinners and God wills that each of us come to Him with a ‘broken and contrite heart’ asking for His forgiveness and cleansing.

REPENT

“If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”   1 John 1:8-9

“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.”  Psalm 51:17

With faith, with trust and with a sincere humble, contrite heart, let us go to God asking for His forgiveness and for His love to transform us into the people He wants us to be.  God will forgive us, if we go to Him with sorrow for our sins.

BE PURE

God longs for us to consecrate ourselves to Him, to become pure vessels of love fully dedicated to His glory.

“God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.  Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor— not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.  Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.”  1 Thessalonians 4: 3-6

GIVE THANKS

God wants us to appreciate the many blessings He bestows upon us.

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 THESSALONIANS 5:18

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17

LOVE

Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

God’s message is simple, but the execution is not so simple.  We all come to know God in different ways, in different times.

Consider people who are born into families without faith.  How do they learn about God and His Holy Will?

KEEP PRAYING

‘See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.  Always be joyful.  Never stop praying.”  1 Thessalonians 5: 15-17

God is counting on people of faith to pray for people without faith.

God is counting on His people to believe that He wills to save us from our sins and lead all souls to heaven.

This truth requires us to turn to God with great zeal and to pray for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit to heal our world so in need of His Mercy.

BE FED BY HIS LOVE

God wills to teach us and to feed us with His Holy Word, with His Holy Spirit and with His Body and Blood in the Eucharist.  Recall what the first apostles did: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42

FORGIVE AS JESUS FORGAVE US

Forgiveness can be difficult to give especially if we feel we have not received a proper apology from someone who may have hurt us, but Jesus urges us to forgive one another.

Jesus teaches us to pray like this:

“and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.” Matthew 6:12

Jesus teaches us that “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”  Matthew 5:7

We all need mercy.  Let us pray for all those who have hurt us and may not have shown any regret or remorse.

JOIN DISCIPLES OF CHRIST IN A POWERFUL MOVEMENT CALLED A PEACEFUL REVOLUTION IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

Do you want to build a better world for your children and all children?

Do you believe in the power of God’s Love to change our world, to stop violence, to end wars, to heal, to restore, to renew us, to create faith and reconcile us to God?

If you have faith, then have great faith for God does not want ‘lukewarm souls’!

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Friends of Christ,

We must not rejoice solely in our own blessings.  We must step up to our responsibility to help Jesus to save souls.  This responsibility requires first and foremost prayer and sacrifice.

The INVITATION

Please join A Peaceful Revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ.  This is a global prayer movement calling all Christians to stop and pray and remember how much Jesus suffered to open the gates of heaven to all souls that will believe in Him. We stop at 3pm, the Time Jesus died for us, and we thank Jesus for dying for us.  We ask Him to send His Holy Spirit upon our sinful and suffering world to save it, to restore it, to inspire faith, repentance, hope and love.  Jesus is calling us to believe in Him with all our hearts, with all our minds, with all our strength.  Jesus will answer us if we truly believe in Him!  Let us be for those who do not believe, their prayer ambassadors.  Learn more about this movement here.
