Spiritual Matrimony – God waits for His Bride
In the Scriptures God speaks of the intimacy that He desires with His people using the analogy of a marriage.
“I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you shall know the LORD.” Hosea 2:19-20
“As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.” Isaiah 62:5
In the final Book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation we read about the Wedding of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.
And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19:9
Jesus waits for His people, His Bride, to come to Him, to repent and be His. The Bridegroom of our souls, Jesus Christ, will not force Himself upon us. He gives us free will to decide who we will entrust our lives to. Satan is counting on us living a careless, sensuous existence with little concern for the will of God. But the true Bride of Christ, is waiting for Him, living each day for His glory, honouring Him and doing His will, in quiet expectation of the fulfillment of His final promise—eternal life in paradise.
Jesus loves you so much! Trust in Him and live to please Him. Be aware that Satan will always be trying to deceive you and tempt you. Jesus is so worthy of our love and our passion! He is the Bridegroom who has suffered so much for His Bride! Let’s not keep Him waiting! Let’s show Him how much we love Him each and every day as we show compassion, kindness, mercy and generosity to one another.
Don’t forget to stop each day at 3pm in your local time zone if but for a few moments to remember Jesus dying on the Cross for you, His Bride. Will His Bride forget the time He died for her? NO! Remember 3pm is the time Jesus died on the Cross for you, so that you can be with Him forever in heaven! At this time pray for the salvation of all souls, especially for those most in need of God’s mercy.
“I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5
“No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.” 1 Samuel 2:2 Help us Holy Lord to live in a spirit of thanksgiving, trusting and honouring You every day, in every way!
I love You Jesus! You are my heart’s desire!
