REDEMPTION
Redemption is at the heart of God’s plan for every human being on earth. To be ‘REDEEMED’ means to be ‘SAVED from sin or evil’.
God created us with an immortal soul. His divine plan is to unite each soul to Him for all eternity in Heaven. The major obstacle in God’s plan is SIN.
Sin separates us from God, but that doesn’t mean God stops loving us or stops intervening in our lives, striving to bring us back to Him.
All human beings are God’s creatures. We are all created in God’s image:
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27
“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.” Isaiah 59:2
Everyone has sinned in some capacity.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3: 23-24
Let us repent of our sins and ask Jesus to forgive us:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
“In Him (Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:7
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8
Sin closed the gates of Paradise to mankind, but God had a plan to save all souls and that plan involved God becoming Man in the person of Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-18
“Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.” Hebrews 10:26-29
The world needs the mercy of God, perhaps more now than ever. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and so many people are suffering and dying. God wants to heal us and He has prescribed a formula that tells us what we need to do.
God says, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
God’s gift of redemption can be accepted but it can also be refused.
Jesus offers His Love and Forgiveness to each of us. Let us repent of our sins and receive God’s Gift of Redemption and His Holy Spirit with great gratitude.
THE TRUTH IS THIS:
MANKIND CANNOT BE CLEANSED OF SIN AND RECONCILED WITH GOD EXCEPT THROUGH THE GIFT OF REDEMPTION THAT COMES FROM JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7
“The Father and I are one.” John 10:30
Let us not only rejoice in God’s Gift of Redemption, let us pray for all souls, that all will come to know and love Jesus and receive with great joy the salvation that comes through Him.
“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2: 5-11
So many people have yet to receive God’s Gift of Redemption that comes through Our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are invited to give God glory by stopping every day to remember the price Jesus paid to save us. You are invited to put 3pm in your calendar. Three o’clock is the Time Jesus died for us and if 3pm locally is not convenient for you to stop to pray pick another global time zone that is convenient. At this time remember the Passion of Christ. Remember the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus and pray for Jesus to send His Holy Spirit to bring souls to repentance and to conversion, to silence the power of evil in our world and to bring healing to our globe that is suffering so much. We call this movement of Christian unity The Mercy Movement. Learn more here.
May the memory of the Passion of Christ ignite in you a passionate, eternal love for Jesus and a zeal for God’s glory that is inexhaustible and unstoppable!
“Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13
“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
