Jesus and the Peaceful Revolution in His Holy Name

The word “revolutionary” comes from the Latin word “revolvere” which means to “revolve” or “turn around”.

Jesus came into the world to change it, to revolutionize the way we think and the way we act based on His TRUTH.

Here are a few powerful quotes from a book I love called “Jesus Freaks”. This book is all about people fighting for the TRUTH and LOVE of Jesus Christ. Here’s a little excerpt:

“Jesus came to comfort the afflicted, but He also came to afflict the comfortable. Throughout history true followers of Christ have been revolutionaries. As the trends of society have been dictated by the herd mentality, these men and women of God have stood up and said, “Hey, wait a minute. That’s not right!” They reached out their hands to people the rest of the world walked by without a glance, they spoke out when shutting up may have saved their lives, they distributed Bibles when others were passing out ammunition, they took God places others called “God-forsaken”, they picked up their crosses and followed Christ when others cried “Lord, Lord” but did nothing. And for this they were called “Freaks”…Proverbs 1:32 tells us “the complacency of fools will destroy them.” Are we too comfortable in our lifestyles to truly be following Christ?”

There is a revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ that continues on earth through the passion and zeal of His disciples.

“It is a revolution of words and hearts and helping hands. It is a revolution that turns the world upside right and lets God touch the earth with His love wherever the revolutionaries go, whether it be across the street, across the ocean, into a prison cell, or to the grave. These are the revolutionaries who were not willing to set aside the Truth for the convenience of being accepted or the privilege of living only by their own desires. These are the revolutionaries who fight for the spiritual freedom that is only found in Jesus and are unwilling to let that freedom go for anything…

Being truthful—always telling the truth—is revolutionary. Those who know the Truth can’t help but stand up for Jesus and tell others about Him. They can’t help but make a difference for Him. If those who say they know the Truth—that they know Jesus—don’t share Him, do they really know the Truth? Probably not. Those who know Him can’t deny Him. Knowing Him is just too life-altering to go long without talking about Him. Knowing Jesus changes things so that a person can’t just sit back in a comfortable lifestyle and do nothing while others swallow lies or are persecuted. Knowing Him means being a constant witness of the Truth and a constant catalyst of change for a better world. Whether it is on a large scale or a small scale, those who belong to Jesus make a difference.” From the Book: Jesus Freaks, Volume II

“The cross is God’s truth to us, and therefore it is the only power which can make us truthful. When we know the cross, we are no longer afraid of truth. We need no more oaths to confirm the truth of our utterance, for we live the perfect truth of God. There is no truth toward Jesus without truth toward man. Untruthfulness destroys fellowship, but truth cuts false fellowship to pieces and establishes genuine brotherhood. We cannot follow Christ unless we live in revealed truth before God and man.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Hung for resisting the Nazis, Berlin Germany, 1945

FRIENDS OF JESUS WE ARE GOD’S PEACEFUL REVOLUTIONARIES

I URGE YOU TO JOIN The Mercy Movement. This is a global Christian peace movement, the first of its kind where Christians of all denominations are invited to unite DAILY to PRAY and REMEMBER THE PASSION OF CHRIST.  We are calling upon the omnipotence of Our Lord Jesus to peacefully change the world as He changes our hearts, silencing temptation and the power of evil in our world. We are praying for peace and for the salvation of all souls; we are praying for the mercy of Our Lord Jesus upon all souls; we are asking God to stop violence and hatred; we are praying for healing and new beginnings; .  We are asking Jesus to help everyone to repent and be reconciled to God.  We pray everyday at 3pm, in our local time zones, because 3 o’clock is the time Jesus died on the Cross to save us. At this time we remember how much Our Holy Lord Jesus suffered to open the gates of heaven to us. At 3pm, we meditate on the Passion of Christ and we pray for the liberty of all souls.  We pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon us to inspire us and help us to love as Jesus wants us to love.  We stand united in prayer, wherever we may be, as ONE Body of Christ at 3pm (in our local time zones).  And if 3pm locally is inconvenient for you then pick another time zone that works and let that be your 3 o’clock — the Time Jesus died for you.

We must fight the battle between “Good and Evil” with the spiritual weapons of faith in God, trust in God, with love and charity, with hope and with prayer. Let us call upon the power and mercy of Our Saviour Jesus Christ to defend us and help us to spread the Gospel message of love and peace. Let us pray for souls most in need of God’s mercy. Let us repent of our sins.  Remember God will hear the prayers of the penitent and righteous.

It’s time for every Christian to be a peaceful revolutionary!  God wants change in our world but not through violence but through a peaceful process which challenges the way we think and the way we act.

We must stand up for what’s right and believe in the infinite power of God to save souls and stop the power of evil in our world manifesting itself through so much violence. We must stand for God’s truth as revealed to us by Our Lord Jesus Christ and we must never give up on any soul, now or ever!

Let Jesus revolutionize your life. Give Him your life, your trust and your hope. Jesus will show you the way to heaven and He will help you handle all the challenges in your life today.

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”  John 13:34

“Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.” 1 John 2:10-11

Let us be children of God’s Light!

Remember the Words of Our Lord Jesus, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” Matthew 5:44
