For God all Things are Possible
Last night I was watching the Paralympics on TV. I was blown away watching visually impaired (legally blind) skiers flying down a mountain (at approx. 100 km/hr) with a seeing guide in front of them that they were communicating with wirelessly. Imagine that! THAT’S AMAZING! I could almost not believe my eyes!
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is Wonder and Awe—the ability to recognize the wonderful, awesome presence of God around us. Well I saw that last night watching legally blind people with almost no vision trusting a guide in front of them as they pushed themselves to accomplish what would seem to most of us impossible. That’s God! That’s Jesus helping people to achieve their dreams. Who said a vision impairment has to stop an athlete from achieving their dreams? No way!
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
Glory to You Lord Jesus! I pray that the athletes all know You because I think they are all amazing and I see how You are present in these mind boggling athletic accomplishments. Regardless of whether they have won medals or not, I love how the athletes commit to their goals and push themselves to achieve their dreams. Let’s all remember to give thanks to God who dreams our dreams with us.
May all souls Jesus come to know You and love You and live in Your Spirit. You are Wonderful God! You are AWESOME Jesus!
