Can you imagine leaving on a trip and being told there will be no food? We wouldn’t survive!

As Baptized Christians, Jesus gives us spiritual food, the Holy Eucharist, and in this Sacrament the living God dwells.

I will confess to you that for many years I did not go to Church and that’s because I didn’t realize what I was missing.

I was missing the miracle–the miracle where Jesus transforms the bread and wine into His own Body and Blood! I now hunger for this spiritual food and for communion with my Saviour Jesus and so I try to go to Church every day if I can to reflect on God’s Word and receive Him in the Holy Eucharist

Let’s reflect on the Words Jesus said:

“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.” Jonh 6:53-58

Thank You Holy Lord for giving us the miracle of the Eucharist where You dwell Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. How privileged are we to come to Your Holy Table. I love You sweet Saviour!
