Ending Violence God’s Way
God’s promises are real and He calls upon us to understand that He is always willing to intervene in our world to help us and to bring healing, if we are ready to do what He asks.
This is what God promises:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
We can influence the course of world events this very day, if we are ready to do three things:
- We must have faith and believe that for God all things are possible. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
- We must repent of our sins and stop offending God. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
- We must pray and believe that God will answer us. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
This very day there are so many innocent people that depend on our faith, on our true contrition and on our prayer to silence the power of evil in our world and to end violence and to create peace.
If you are reading the news you know that the wars that are occurring have deep roots and change without God’s intervention is in my humble opinion impossible.
We who have faith must call upon God for assistance for God can accomplish what we alone can never hope to do. God is Our Creator, God is Our Father, God is Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, God is the Holy Spirit that creates Faith, Hope and Love in our world.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9
“The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion.” Psalm 11:5
There are little children this very day whose safety and futures depend on our faith, on our true repentance and our prayer for God’s intervention. Imagine their eyes so full of tears. Imagine their parents desperate for assistance and let us be their lifeline to God! My heart breaks for the people caught in places of violence and war, and I am so grieved especially for the innocent little children and their parents. How do you explain this horror to a little child! How do you make them feel safe! How do you be strong when you feel desperate and without assistance!
I invite you to join a Christian Peace Movement called The Mercy Movement. Christians all over the world are committing to being peacemakers by believing in the power of One Body of Christ praying together at the Hour of Mercy everyday! The Hour of Mercy is the Time Jesus died for us, 3pm. At this time we come to Jesus with humility, with contrite hearts and with hope that He will help us heal our world of hatred, injustice, violence and war. There will never be peace until God intervenes to make it so because man will always find a way to justify violence.
Please imagine in your heart the tears of the little children caught in conflict zones and commit to pray for them everyday. The little ones have done nothing to warrant the horror that surrounds them!
The Mercy Movement calls for faith, prayer and love for all souls. We pray for God’s Mercy upon all souls. We pray for an end to hatred, for reconciliation between God and Man and for peace, hope and prosperity where all people can live respectfully with one another without fear and without threat of any form of violence.
Be a peacemaker for you are a child of God called to believe in the great power of God’s love to do what is impossible for man. “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
