Blessed are the Peacemakers

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

All children of God are called to make peace with God and with one another. Forgiveness and reconciliation are the most important ingredients to securing a lasting peace in our hearts, in our families, in our communities and in our world. In so far as we persist in pursuing vengeance for past wrongs peace will remain tentative and fragile.

Every country in the world wants to prosper and the famous economist C.K. Prahalad continues to inspire global economic thinking with his vision of the “fortune at the bottom of the pyramid”. C.K. Prahalad says “If we stop thinking of the poor as victims or as a burden and start recognizing them as resilient and creative entrepreneurs and value conscious consumers, a whole new world of opportunity will open up… The real source of market promise is not the wealthy few in the developing world, or even the emerging middle-income consumers: It is the billions of aspiring poor who are joining the market economy for the first time…Imagining the future may be more important than analyzing the past… Executives are constrained not by resources, but by their imagination… Humility in success and courage in failure are hallmarks of a good leader.”

The more we invest as a global community in building up the fortunes of the economically disadvantaged the greater our global prosperity will be. As more and more consumers become able to participate in the global economy the fortune at the bottom of the economic pyramid is unleashed to transform our world. Let us pray for our global leaders to see the empowerment of the poor as one of the most important strategies to create new markets, to grow profit and to end conflict that rises from economic injustice.

God is calling each and every one of us to be peacemakers. As people of faith we must always be mindful of the need for God’s grace to sow the seeds of lasting peace in our world. It is only through the power of God’s Holy Spirit that evil deception ends and that God’s truth prevails.

War is an evil deception born of the devil. It is the devil that wants killing, vengeance and death.

Peace is God’s design for His people. Peace is the fruit of the Holy Spirit of God that creates opportunity and prosperity for those who invest in it.

“Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” James 3:18

Please join the Global Prayer Movement that is Praying for the Holy Spirit to Change the World – one soul-at-a-time.

The Mercy Movement  is a global Christian prayer movement that is uniting believers of Jesus in prayer daily at the Time Jesus died for us, 3pm (in our local time zones or any time zone convenient for prayer). At this time stop if but for a few moments to remember Jesus dying on the Cross to reconcile us to God The Father.  Thank Jesus for His infinite sacrifice and pray for the salvation of all souls.  Pray that Jesus sends His Holy Spirit upon us to silence the power of evil in our world, to create peace and prosperity.  Believe that your prayers are powerful and important.  Prayer is the pathway to creating peace in our world, for through prayer we call upon the omnipotence of God!

Jesus is the Divine Peacemaker who gave His life so that we could one day live in the peace of Heaven. Pray for the grace of Jesus Christ so that we can live in peace with God and with one another right now. Pray for God’s grace to free you from anger and bitterness. Forgive for forgiveness is freedom from hatred and freedom from the violence we cause ourselves when we focus on vengeance.

Hatred is like a cancer in the body that destroys the cells of opportunity for joy and peace in our lives. But forgiveness is the healing balm that cures the soul and opens the heart to love and hope again.

Let us all pray for the forgiveness of Jesus Christ for Our God is so ready to embrace all who will come to Him with true sorrow for their sins.

Recall these words from God:

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 1: 18-20

War is a path of fear, vengeance and total destruction but reconciliation is a path of hope, forgiveness, peace and prosperity.

Keep praying for all the leaders of our world. Let us pray for mutual respect and mutual opportunity for gain. Together we can triumph over the power of evil if we pray for the power of God’s love to be with us always. When we help others we help ourselves by investing in relationships that always pay back.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Words of Jesus, John 14:27
