Recruiting an Army of Prayer Partners for Jesus

Do you know what the primary mission of Jesus Christ is?

It is to save souls!

Jesus wills for all souls to go to heaven…but you know what gets in the way of our passage to paradise?

SIN! Sin breaks our relationship with God, but confession heals it.

“If we confess our sins, he (Jesus) is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

We have an URGENT problem in the world and that problem is that too many souls are drowning in sinful lives. There is too much violence in the world, too much evil, too much impurity and promiscuity and as a result too many souls are losing their eternal birthright.

Soldiers of Christ, Jesus is calling His disciples to help Him save souls!

God is so deeply offended by so many sins and we His people are called to pray for the many souls that are in need of His saving grace. Indeed all of us are in need of His grace, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24

God wants us to come to Him to pray for His merciful love to be poured out upon all people!

God will answer the prayers of His disciples!

So today I ask you will you join an army of prayer partners that are uniting daily at the foot of the Cross of Jesus at 3pm (in our local time zones)? Three o’clock is the time Jesus died on the Cross for us. At this time we are calling Christians to contemplate the Passion of Our Lord Jesus, to remember how much Jesus suffered to save us and to pray for the many needs in our broken and suffering world.

At this time, let us bring all our needs to Jesus, for Jesus is Our God. Jesus is Our Saviour and there are no problems too big for Him to fix. Let us boldly approach the throne of God’s grace and ask Jesus to send His Holy Spirit upon us as He did at Pentecost so that we can be freed from the bondage of sin and that souls that are living sinful lives can repent and take refuge in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Did you know that over 100 million Christians around the world are being persecuted, threatened and killed for the faith in Jesus Christ? (Source: Open Doors)

“If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” 1 Corinthians 12:26

Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering and let us pray also for those that are persecuting them.

Remember the instructions of Jesus, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…” Matthew 5:44

Let us pray that those that are committing violence against our brothers and sisters in Christ may repent and come to understand that God wills for all of us to live in peace, respecting one another irrespective of our ideological differences.  Conversion comes through the power of God’s love and His Holy Spirit and cannot be forced violently upon anyone.

Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

Disciples of Jesus on the night before Jesus died, Our Lord prayed that we would be ONE.

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17: 20-23

Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters,

YOU are invited to join The Mercy Movement that is ONE Body of Christ united at the foot of the Cross of Jesus, praying daily at the time Our Lord died for us, 3pm (in our local time zones) as we meditate on His Passion.

Will you join in?

The Lord will hear our united prayer. Let us bring all our needs with confidence to Our Saviour who wills to help us.

At this time contemplate the Passion of Christ and ask Jesus to have mercy upon all souls, especially those most in need of His mercy.

Open your heart to the many needs of our suffering neighbours.

Pray for those that are sick, especially the little children in hospitals who don’t understand why they are ill and their parents and families that are suffering to see them suffer.

Pray for those that are trapped in the darkness of mental illnesses, that Our Holy Lord may bring consolation, healing and new remedies to end this terrible anguish.

Pray for those that are contemplating abortion that Our Holy Lord may illumine their minds and open their hearts to the right choice to give life.

Pray for those that are addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex and other vices, that Our gentle Saviour may help set them free to live with dignity and peace.

Pray for those that are living lives of lust and promiscuity, that Our Holy Lord may help them to repent and find true meaning and purpose.

Pray for those that are victims of violence, for women who have been raped, children who have been abused, innocent people senselessly killed, that Our Lord may bring those who have died to heaven and hold those that are living close to His tender heart, bringing peace and justice.

Pray for our many government leaders, that God may inspire them with His wisdom.

Friends – there are so many needs (I can’t begin to name them all), but TRUST that Our Lord can help us with all of them.

Soldiers of Christ – God is counting on us to help Him to save souls! Believe in the power of our united prayer, daily, at the Hour of Mercy, the time Our Lord Jesus died for us (3pm). Have faith that God will answer us if we come to Him with hearts that are truly penitent.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17

Disciples of Jesus – Put on the Armor of God

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6: 10-18

And so we will pray in the Spirit together daily at the Hour of Mercy, the time Our Lord Jesus died for us. We will never forget how much Jesus suffered to save us and we will not forget those still needing to be saved!
