Yesterday was my friend’s birthday. She turned 24 years old. On her birthday she went to the doctor to learn that she is suffering from breast cancer.

This terrible disease affects women of all ages. Please pray for her and for all women who are fighting breast cancer.

Holy Lord please be with all the women afflicted by this terrible disease. Please give them the gift of faith to know that you are there to help them through this crisis. Please help them to heal and help us to find a cure.

May these words from God bring comfort to all who are suffering:

“Don’t worry, because I am with you.
Don’t be afraid, because I am your God.
I will make you strong and will help you;
I will support you with my right hand that saves you…
I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand,
And I tell you, “Don’t be afraid. I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:10,13
