COVID-19 Letter to Pope Francis

The following letter addressed to Pope Francis is being directed to him via the Apostolic Nuncio of Canada, His Excellency, Most Rev. Luigi Bonazzi

April 1, 2020

Caro Papa Francesco,

All over the world Christians are uniting at the Hour of Mercy, the Time Jesus died for us, 3pm, to remember the Passion of Christ, to thank Jesus for dying for us and to ask Jesus to send His Holy Spirit upon our suffering world to silence the power of evil and reconcile God and Man.  At this most difficult time as the world unites to fight a global pandemic we are urging the Body of Christ to remember God’s Promise for healing:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

This grassroots movement that is uniting believers of Jesus in a daily prayer for peace is called A Peaceful Revolution in the Name of Jesus Christ.  This movement has been promoted via spiritual reflections on the Word of God that have received over 19 million positive responses from people all over the world communicating their support for this call for Christian unity.

As you know Jesus prayed on the night before He died that His believers would be one:

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17: 20-21

Papa will you assist us in inviting believers of Christ to join in this daily moment of remembrance of the Passion of Christ and prayer for the healing of Our Lord Jesus?

Together we will conquer the invisible enemy in our world that threatens global peace, prosperity and health.

This is for the glory of God, for the salvation of souls and for the healing of our fragile world.

Let us unite trusting in the Mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Saviour of the World!
